Puzzle Twist! Have you tried this brand? I just did, and I will tell you what I think.
There are a few different flavors of these puzzles. I tried two of them.
Something’s Amiss - The Twist: The puzzle on the box is more than a bit different from the puzzle in the box! What happened here?
Mixed Up! -The Twist: A shuffle of tiles, a picture exchange – how the final arrangement will appear is a mystery waiting to be solved.
Ultimately, this brand is similar to the ever popular Wasgij, where what you see on the box is not what you get. I admit, I have never tried a Wasjig either. I like to use the box image. So, I was a bit unfamiliar with this type of puzzle. However, I happily tried two of them, a 1000-piece and a 500-piece – Garden Delights and Cool Cats.

Once I got started, these were fun!
I did prefer the 500-piece to the 1000 in this case. The 500-piece had larger pieces, but the image quality was sharper than the 1000-piece. It might have been this particular image, but in this case, it was my own preference. And because I wasn’t using a box for reference, I liked the smaller piece count. I am not always a fan of the vertical puzzles, but the 500 piece was not an issue for me in this case.

In both cases, the pieces were solid and clicked well. They were thick, did not have glare, and felt good in my hand. There was little puzzle dust. The shapes are fun and unusual with different sizes.

If you get stuck, the company has hints and reveals on their site. I don’t want to share photos of the finished puzzles and ruin the fun, but I will say that these are worth trying if you want to try something different, or if you are a fan of Wasgij and want something similar.

Let me know what you think!
