I have so many puzzles to write about!
I recently completed an adorable wooden puzzle. I finished another one of the Ravensburger Abandoned series. I’m working on a beautifully detailed Anatolian. And I just finished a Clementoni.

I was going to write about the Gloomy Carnival puzzle, but I decided to leave that for next week and share my thoughts about Clementoni instead. We have a nice selection and will be getting more!
Clementoni is a company that was founded in 1963 by Mario Clementoni. They started with board games and have expanded over the years to include children’s toys and adult jigsaw puzzles. I never tried one of theirs before the one I just did, simply because I couldn’t find an image that grabbed my attention. They do a lot of photographic images and art based on iconic paintings. Those aren’t usually to my taste, so I never tried one. Until this one – 80’s nostalgia.
As a child of the ’80s, this was right up my alley!

I was so impressed with the brand. It’s a high recommendation for me.
The pieces were a perfect size, bigger than Buffalo but smaller than White Mountain. They were thick and clicked perfectly into place. There was hardly any puzzle dust. The pieces were a pleasant variety of shapes. The image was bright and there was very little glare. The box did not include a poster, but the box was a perfect size, and the image wasn’t obscured.

How I did it:
With all the bright colors, this was an easy one to sort. After I completed the border, I started creating piles to place on my puzzle board. The blue pieces of the phone, the calculator, and the potato chips were easy to find, so I started with those. I also grabbed whatever pieces had lettering on them. Then I looked for the VHS tape and cup of tea. I must say that the right side of the puzzle was more difficult than the left. That tangled tape was a lot of trial and error.
This puzzle was so much fun. I enjoyed the nostalgia theme and found myself smiling as I was working on it. I didn’t find it to be very difficult, so it was relaxing for me.

I will be keeping an eye out for other Clementoni images because they are one of the better brands out there.

Have you tried this brand? What do you think?

I love puzzling and I usually mostly do corner piece and ravensburger puzzles. I came across the “Friends” Clemontoni jigsaw puzzle last week and I was excited to purchase it. I will not be buying another Clemontoni brand as the pieces are too loosely fit and blocks of sections completed that I attempt to move into the border are falling apart as soon as they’re picked up. Very Frustrating, wouldn’t recommend if this puzzle is anything to go by!
